Come share your ideas on how we can win a real increase for all workers!
Working people in this country are being squeezed more than ever, while corporate profits soar. Cuomo raised the minimum wage earlier this year but at 9$/hr by 2016, it is too little, too late. Cuomo’s bill discriminates against tipped workers and pits younger workers against older workers by subsidizing corporations to hire young workers. On top of all of that, this bill makes no mention of enforcement of labor laws.
We will be joined by NYS Assemblymember Linda Rosenthal, legal advocacy groups from the Coalition to Secure Wages Against Theft and workers from the tri-state area.
